Luiz Claudio Garé
Founding Partner
Luiz Claudio Garé is the founding partner and administrator of GARÉ ADVOGADOS. Garé has a Law degree from the Faculdade de Direito de São Bernando do Campo. With more than 30 years of experience, Garé started dealing with industrial property rights violations, from the beginning of his career in 1990.
Garé has extensive experience in criminal actions and civil litigation defending trademarks, patents and fighting against unfair competition on behalf of renowned companies.
Since 2002, Luiz Claudio Garé is the Legal and Institucional Relations Consultant for the Brand Protection Group - BPG a non-profit organization created by a group of well-known brands aiming to combat the illegal market in Brazil. Through these 20 years as a legal consultant of BPG, he organized seminars and practical trainings for a huge number of public authorities focused on the fight against the Illegal Market in Brazil.
In response to his clients´ needs for sustainable ways to the disposal of illicit goods, Garé has developed the environmental and commercial law areas and has participated in cases related to the disposal of waste and anti-dumping measures.
Garé is currently the President of the Intellectual Property Committee of the Brazilian Bar Association of São Paulo (OAB-SP) and a regular speaker at IP seminars and events worldwide. As part of his duties as a consultant to BPG, Garé contributes as a member of the National Council on Combating Piracy (CNCP) and is actively involved in several committees and associations that fight the Illegal Market.
Rodrigo Gianni Carney

Rodrigo Gianni Carney graduated from Universidade São Marcos law school in 2002, and has been working in industrial property since 2001. Besides developing work in the administrative area of trademarks, patents and industrial designs, he has vast experience in issues related to civil and criminal litigation focused on the fight against counterfeiting, coordinating several search and seizure actions in factories, shopping malls and stores.
Rodrigo has experience in actions aimed at the annulment and/or ratification of administrative acts practiced by the Brazilian Patent and Trademark Office - BPTO and actions triggered by retention of counterfeit products by Customs, as well as work focused on the protection of copyright and work within the scope of the Council for Advertising Self-Regulation - CONAR. He is particularly skilled in consumer rights law and due diligence undertaken in our practice areas.
Elisson Garé
Partner
Elisson Garé has a Law degree from FMU – Faculdades Metropolitanas Unidas, with graduate extension in Technology and Innovation – Protection strategies and contracts at FGV - Fundação Getúlio Vargas. He is also awarded a master’s degree in information and Communication Technology Law at the University of Oslo in 2016.
Since 2017 Elisson is a partner at Garé Advogados. He has extensive experience working in consulting and litigation of high complexity involving trademarks, patents, industrial design, unfair competition, copyright, image rights, trade secrets, technology transfer agreements, among others. After the approval of the Internet Bill of Rights, he gave lectures on the subject for clients and guests and began to work in consulting and litigation on issues of digital law, such as privacy, obtaining data via legal action, liability of providers for crimes committed over the Internet and protection of image rights and industrial property in the virtual environment.
Elisson is an effective member of the Intellectual Property Committee of the Brazilian Bar Association of São Paulo (OAB-SP) and associated to the Brazilian Association of Information Technology and Communications Law (ABDTIC).

Sari Franco Schnaider

Sari Franco is a lawyer graduated from the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, specialising in Civil Law and Civil Procedure in 2009 at Fundação Getúlio Vargas and Contract Law at ESA. Sari became partner at Garé Advogados in 2017. She has extensive experience in Civil and Business litigation, serving national and international clients. Throughout her career, she has also worked with consumer law and due diligence.
With strong performance in the office management aiming the continuous improvement of services, she is responsible for the implementation of work methodologies that enable creative and fast solutions, as well as strategic planning in the fight against illegal trade. She is also certified by the Lean Six Sigma method.
Marcelo Toledo de Camargo

Marcelo Camargo is a lawyer graduated from the Universidade das Faculdades Metropolitanas Unidas (UNIFMU), specialized in Criminal Law and Criminal Procedural Law at the same University. He has been acting for 20 years in the field of Industrial and Intellectual Property, with excellence in implementing anti-piracy programs for national and multinational companies. His practice also extends to border measures, in close relationship with customs authorities, aiming to defend clients' interests. Throughout his career, he has also acted in compliance and data protection actions. Marcelo also has vast experience in conducting investigations and actions involving fraud.
The professional joined Garé Advogados in 2022 to integrate the expansion and strengthening plan of the areas of border and criminal measures, with strict performance before Federal Revenue agents all over the country, besides authorities responsible for search and seizure as a whole.
Fernando Bononi

Fernando Bononi is a lawyer graduated from FMU - Faculdades Metropolitanas Unidas and post graduated in Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure from Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie.
Fernando began working on intellectual property in 2012, focusing on combating trademark counterfeiting and forgery. Joined the team at Garé Advogados in 2016. Since then, he has been working in the litigation area, especially criminal, and in search and seizure actions
Cristina Oliveira Ferri
Legal supervisor
Cristina Ferri graduated in Law at Faculdades Metropolitanas Unidas - FMU, in 2007. Her career at Garé Advogados began in 2005, as a law intern. Currently, Cristina dedicates herself to the contact with Public Administration agencies, including Federal Revenue Inspectors and Offices, Port and Airport Customs and International Postal Services (Post Office Central) and the Institute of Weights and Measures of all states in Brazil to assist them in identifying the falsification of brands represented by the office and destruction of products in accordance with environmental legislation in accordance with each state.
Cristina is also dedicated to monitoring in search and seizure diligences in factories and critical locations for the sale of counterfeits.
Ricardo Alves Junqueira Penteado

Ricardo Penteado is a lawyer graduated from PUC-Rio in 2008, in which he also specializes in Intellectual Property. After years working for companies focused on the culture and entertainment markets, he provided legal consultancy services to Non-Governmental Organizations focused on the environmental and artistic scenario, as well as multinational companies in the digital market.
Ricardo started working in the area of industrial property and anti-counterfeiting, in this area, he performs investigation services, border protection and training of authorities, participating in the idealization and implementation of programs aimed at educating government authorities and strengthening relations between public and private entities.
Victor Castelo Queiroz

Victor Queiroz graduated in Law from Faculdades Metropolitanas Unidas - FMU in 2019. Started practicing in the area of intellectual property in 2016, working in civil litigation in the area of copyright and industrial property. Victor joined Garé Advogados in 2018, since then, he acts in litigation, notably in civil actions in the area of protection of industrial property and combating counterfeiting, as well as in search and seizure actions.
Alexandre Lopes de Oliveira

Alexandre Oliveira holds a law degree from Universidade Cruzeiro do Sul (UNICSUL) and a post-graduation in Civil Law and Civil Procedure. He began his activities in the Garé Advogados law firm team in 2019 and since then has been working in the area of intellectual property protection and anti-counterfeiting. In this area, he performs investigation services, contact with public authorities, extrajudicial negotiations, as well as in search and seizure actions.
Mariana Patrocínio Ramos de Almeida

Mariana Patrocínio is a lawyer, graduated from Universidade Católica do Salvador (UCSal), post-graduated in Fashion Law from Faculdade Santa Marcelina (FASM), certified in Copyright and Intellectual Property Law by the São Paulo Intellectual Property Association (ASPI), and in Intellectual Property Law by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
She gives classes and lectures in events of several courses and sectionals of the Brazilian Bar Association and is co-author of several literary works on the application of Criminal Law to the Fashion Industry, Compliance and Brand Protection.
Mariana has experience in the Criminal area in crimes committed against Fashion Industry and Retail, advisory and litigation of industrial property protection and anti-counterfeiting.
Currently, Mariana is President of the Fashion Law Special Commission and effective member of the Intellectual Property Special Commission of the Brazilian Bar Association of Bahia (OAB/BA).
André Luiz Lamin R. de Queiroz

André Luiz Lamin holds a Masters in Law from Universidade de São Paulo (USP) in 2019, with an emphasis in Commercial Law, his is a specialist in Business Law graduated from Centro Universitário Curitiba (UNICURITIBA) in 2013. Graduated in Law from Universidade Federal de Juiz de Fora (UFJF) in 2010 and in Administration from Universidade Federal Rural do Rio de Janeiro (UFRRJ) in 2018.
André is a lawyer with more than ten years of experience in strategic civil litigation, joined the team Garé Advogados in 2021, to act in civil litigation related to the protection of industrial property and fight against counterfeiting. He is a researcher in the trademark area since 2014, professor of Civil and Business Law, and is currently an effective member of the Special Committee on Fashion Law of Brazilian Bar Association of São Paulo (OAB/SP) and of the Intellectual Property Committee of the 116th sub-section Jabaquara.
Marcus Lopes Sodré

Marcus Lopes Sodré is a lawyer graduated from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro in 2011, has a master's degree (LL.M.) in Intellectual Property Law from George Washington University completed in 2018.
Since 2022 he is part of Garé Advogados team, working in Administrative Litigation, especially in the management of trademark portfolios, previously he worked for more than 10 years in law firms and large companies.
Marcus has experience in managing large trademark portfolios, negotiating contracts and with legal advice in administrative and judicial proceedings involving trademarks, copyright, trade dress, advertising, trade promotions and domain names.
Ana Paula de M. Neves

Lawyer, graduated from Faculdades Metropolitanas Unidas (FMU) and Bachelor in Advertising and Marketing from Escola Superior de Propaganda e Marketing (ESPM). Postgraduate in Fashion Law from Faculdade Santa Marcelina (FASM), also in Digital Law from EBRADI (Brazilian Law School) and in Private Law from Faculdade Damásio de Jesus.
Professional with over ten years of experience in strategic civil litigation. Ana Paula joined the Garé Advogados team in 2023, to work in civil litigation related to the protection of industrial property and fighting against counterfeiting and piracy.
Currently, she is a member of the Special Commission on Fashion Law (OAB/SP) and of the Privacy and Data Protection Commission, also of the OAB/SP, and an enthusiast in these areas.
Co-author of the book “Fashion Law: current issues and the future of Fashion Law”, released in 2022.
Paulo Tiago Sulino Muliterno

Lawyer who graduated from Mackenzie Presbyterian University and holds a bachelor's degree in Portuguese/English ("Letras") from the Faculty of Philosophy, Letters and Human Sciences (FFLCH) of the University of São Paulo (USP). He has a graduate degree in Criminal Law and Criminology from the Pontificial Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (PUC-RS).
With more than 12 years' experience in th area of criminal law, with a focus on corporate criminal law, as well as corporate investigations and compliance issues, he joined the Garé Advogados team in 2023 to work in the areas of investigation, protection of industrial property and combating counterfeiting and piracy, as well as to work in criminal litigation, handling police investigation and criminal actions.
He also teaches on the "Corporate Investigations and Compliance" course at FIA Business School.
Co-author of the book "Violence Against Minors" (Violência Contra Menores), released in 2023 by Editora Imperium.
