Federal Revenue Service seizes bus with goods worth BRL 500,000 in PR

The Federal Revenue Service has seized two buses loaded with goods worth BRL 500,000 in western Paraná.

 

The first raid took place at the Federal Highway Police (PRF) post near the town of Santa Terezinha de Itaipu (PR).

 

The bus, which had left Foz do Iguaçu for Chapecó (SC), was carrying goods that had been smuggled in, including alcoholic beverages, electronics, computer accessories, smartphones, perfumery items, clothing, cosmetics, olive oil and electronic cigarettes. The total value of the goods was estimated at BRL 200,000.

 

The second bus was seized in a joint operation with the Federal Police, approached at the PRF post near Céu Azul (PR).

 

Among the goods seized were high-value electronics, cell phones of various brands, computer products and olive oils of a brand banned in Brazil, totaling more than BRL 350,000.

 

The goods and the vehicles were sent to the Federal Revenue Customs in Foz do Iguaçu (PR), where they were sealed for later inspection, while the passengers on the two buses were released.
