Six containers with irregular alcoholic beverage are seized during inspection in southern RR


An inspection of the State Department of Finance (Sefaz) seized six containers and a truck bitrem with irregular load of alcoholic beverage, valued at BRL 2,3 million, the Tax Office Jundiá, in Rorainópolis, South of Roraima. The seizure data were released on this Monday night (5).

During the approach, the drivers presented invoices incompatible with the loads. It was drawn up four notices of violation amounting to almost BRL 800 thousand.

This is the third seizure of irregular alcoholic beverage held in the region. In March of this year, during a routine inspection, auditors discovered the transportation of approximately 20 tons of various distilled spirits without the proper tax document. At the time, a notice of violation was issued in the amount of BRL 71,670.78.

The second seizure occurred in May, when inspectors caught two containers of alcoholic beverages, valued at BRL 650 thousand, with incompatible invoices. A notice of violation in the amount of BRL 203 thousand was also issued at the time of the inspection.

According to the State Secretary of Finance, Manoel Sueide Freitas, the Jundiá Tax Post will receive a scanner-type vehicle to facilitate the inspection of passenger and cargo vehicles.

"The installation of the scanner will facilitate the inspection of passenger and cargo vehicles, which enter and exit through the border with Amazonas. This will give more agility in the inspection and ensure more effectiveness in combating tax evasion in Roraima, "he explained.
