The Military Road Police / TOR - Tactical Ostensive Road, of the State of São Paulo, seized this Monday, (7), a Mercedes-Benz bus with a licence plate from Cuiabá, Mato Grosso, carrying a large amount of goods from Paraguay without any documentation. The seizure occurred at km 127 of SP 421 - Rodolfo Ribeiro de Castro Highway. The goods were in the external luggage compartment of the bus carrying eight passengers.
During inspection were located several products of foreign origin tax documentation in the cargo compartment of the bus. In all 8 thousand items such as cigarettes, cosmetics, mobile phones, electronics, olive oil and lighters were part of the cargo.
According to the Military Police, the cargo would be unloaded in the city of Marilia. The passengers claimed not to be owners of the goods and were sent with the cargo to the Federal Revenue of Presidente Prudente.
