A trunk lorry carrying approximately BRL 3.5 million in smuggled goods was seized in the municipality of Penaforte, in the interior of Ceará, in a joint operation involving the Federal Revenue Service, Sefaz-CE and the Federal Highway Police.
According to information from the RF, the inspection found a cargo containing hundreds of thousands of items, including electronics, clothes, thermal cups and smartphones, without proof of regular entry into the country, as well as characteristics of industrial property violation. The truck was travelling from the state of São Paulo.
The Federal Revenue Service made the seizure and took the vehicle and the seized goods to Fortaleza, with the support of the Federal Highway Police team.
